About us
Who is IFI?
IFI is the company that designs and delivers investment training programmes at various levels to investment managers and administrators, private wealth managers, accountants, trustees and others.
Frank O’Brien, Brian O’Loughlin and Ronan Smith create and deliver each programme. They are hands-on professionals with many years of investment experience at the forefront of the profession in Ireland. Their mastery of their profession makes them sought after as advisors and mentors. But it is their proven ability to communicate with learners from all backgrounds, to get across difficult investment concepts in plain English but with full rigour that marks them out as leading teachers in this field.
What Programmes Do IFI Run?
The Programme in the Fundamentals of Investment is the essential programme for non-investment specialists whose work involves dealing with investment related issues. It will particularly appeal to financial services industry personnel, and professionals, whose work involves exposure to investment products and services.
The participants will develop a coherent framework which will help them to:
- Understand investment, the investment assets and the investment process
- Diagnose their clients attitudes to risk and return
- Address client queries on investment topics
Trustee Investment Training for Pension Funds
Investment is a substantial and difficult element of this required body of knowledge. IFI is the recognised training provider in this field providing individually tailored programmes for trustee boards, newly appointed trustees, combined groups of diverse backgrounds, and any associated personnel, typically organised through the scheme sponsor.
IFI is the company that delivers the regular IAPF Trustee Training Investment Programme (www.iapf.ie)
